Joe Verderber
Joe Verderber is a member of The Quest Team and a recently retired semiconductor equipment industry executive. He has served as an expert witness regarding the industry's markets and business practices, and recently held the position of interim CEO of a semiconductor industry software startup. He currently serves on the board of directors of a Canadian laser systems company. He also conducts training programs for sales, marketing, and management professionals. After gaining broad experience in high-tech equipment businesses in R&D, engineering, product management, marketing, sales and general management, Joe was hired as President of Teradyne Laser Systems, Inc. and then served as Vice President and General Manager of General Scanning Inc.'s (now GSI Group) Laser Systems Division. He has significant experience doing business in Asia and Europe. He also served on the Board of General Scanning Japan K.K., retiring as its Chairman, and was a Geschaftsfuhrer of General Scanning GmbH in Germany. Joe was active in the creation of the SEMI New England Breakfast Forum and served as its first Chairman Joe holds Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was a National Merit and National Science Foundation Scholar. He also completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Graduate School of Business. Coming from an engineering background, Joe received mentoring early in his career in the areas of finance, accounting, and business operations. This proved to be an important aspect in his career progress. In the Quest Team On-Demand programs he is now returning this favor by mentoring others.
